UNIMAC has a team of Microsoft Office experts with more than 50 years of combined experience.
We recognize that the printers job is no longer just putting ink on paper and we have taken the necessary steps to move into the future with our client base through cutomization. Our initiatives, to date, include:
Publishing Solutions. We are the first financial printer in the area to offer our clients a publishing solution to enhance the creation of research reports both regionally and globally. We have developed and deployed several easy-to-use templates to investment research departments around the globe that have resulted in the ability to enhance the productivity of the publishing departments, create consistency and branding through all documents, and reduce time-to-market.
Improved PDF file creation. Most problems related to PDF file creation are due to incorrect Adobe Acrobat Distiller settings. We provide our clients with a program to set the appropriate distiller settings with a click of a button. This ensures that your clients will not have problems with file integrity when your documents are distributed electronically and that UNIMAC will not have problems with the printing of the document.
XML tagging. Several of the templates that we have implemented, have included functionality to automate XML tagging. Adding this functionality to the Word templates assures consistent tagging across product platforms.
E-mail distribution product. At the request of one of our clients, we developed an HTML e-mail distribution product. This is a web-based application, where research analysts can take his/her company/industry comments, and drop the Word text into our application. The result is a nicely formatted HTML e-mail product that can be blasted to the analysts client list.
We have also added similar functionality to our publishing solutions, where data from the report can be tagged for a direct export to e-mail (also in HTML).
PDF distribution and upload to third-party vendors. The UNIMAC production team is available to distribute your PDF documents electronically to your clients. Using a proprietary program, each document is tagged through an automated process that checks and gathers information necessary for accurate tagging. A senior member of the production team checks the information for accuracy before releasing the file to third-party aggregators such as Multex, First Call, Reuters, etc.
